This is a kind of interesting turn of events, earlier this morning the Ecuadorian government decided to provide Julian assange with political assylum from the brits. Personally i think its exceptionally brave of the ecuadorian government to support someone like this against such a powerful enemy. and honestly i think its about time people start standing up for the little man. no longer should men fear their governments, we hold the numbers and the power our governments should fear us. cheers

a little bit of background is explained here
and an article that just came out this morning with new info [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Here is an update for some people.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The UK is being legally obligated to extradite Assange, But I was reading over the international declaration of human rights and it said this "Article 14.

(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
(2) This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations."

so by forcing him into extradition the UK will be in direct violation of human rights decorations. This should piss you off people, countries are blatantly ignoring UN conventions and international decorations. At least 20 years ago people had the excuse that the governments were doing things in the shadwos, so they could justify their own cowardice, but now the government its right in our face. Blatenly telling us that THEY DONT GIVE A SHIT. So why should we give a shit about them
