a new pain killer may soon be on the rise. With the discovery of mambalgins, which is a protein which exhibits similar physiological effects to that of morphine. One thing here however, there is no opiate receptor bonding, so there is no high suspected.

It will be a few years before any drug derived from this can reach the market, but the implications we can derive from a discovery such as this could shape the way modern medicine views pain.

Adding to this thread. I've watched a VICE documentary recently about this guy getting high off snake venom. It's pretty messed up, but then again there are quite a few messed up people in the world. Without further adieu, here's the video and let me what you think about this.
