Google president in jail

The president of google in brazil has just been arrested on orders of a municipal official. The reason he is being arrested is because google is hosting a video which accuses said official of crimes. The only reason i can think for a political leader to be so fearful of something like this is because there is a truth behind it. If he was innocent of these allegations than he wouldn't be fearful of these rumors spreading. Every knows the internet is full of bullshit rumors so the only reason so fear one is that it is true.
