Power

I see alot of talk lately, around the web and even in person,of people being powerless to do anything about this or that and so they just keep going on with their lives. I find it interesting the way people are looking at this relationship between them and their governments. These corrupt systems have been in place so long now that people have forgotten that things can be different, that we can actually make a change.

All those men, former kings and tyrants; who held the power to control us with a whim, only held this power because we gave it to them. We gave them the power over us by allowing them to be ruler. And we only did this because we believed that they would lead us in a way that would help us all. But it is clear now that for centuries the men in power have abused those beneath them for the advantage of none other then themselves. These elected officials are put in place by us, we the people give legitimacy to the government which is what allows them to have a legitimate rule. Never forget that we have the power to decide for ourselves.
